Autonoleggi Il Giglio was founded in May 2007 in Primiero San Martino di Castrozza from the entrepreneurial idea of Vittore, who, after a long period of experience with a local car hire company, decided to start his own business providing chauffeur-driven car hire services. What began almost as a game turned into a real project when he purchased a 9-seater minibus and began offering his service to private clients arriving in San Martino di Castrozza for their summer or winter holidays.
Over the years, customer demand grew increasingly, with more and more people choosing the agency for their transfers from airports and railway stations to hotels in San Martino di Castrozza. This led him to purchase another vehicle to provide transfers for individuals and families.
In 2013, due to the need for another driver, Mattia – the son – joined the business at the age of 21, having just completed his studies. He immediately set his sights on clear and lasting objectives, aiming to expand the service throughout the entire year, not just during the seasonal peaks. He achieved this by taking part in public tenders, obtaining successful results.
In 2018, Mattia took over the reins from his father,
and since then, the vehicle fleet has undergone a significant increase in both quantity and quality, ensuring the ability to meet the demands of every type of client.
In 2021, Mattia became a member of the C.T.A. – Consorzio Trentino Autonoleggiatori, a solid consortium of Trentino car hire companies established in the late 1990s. Over 130 Trentino-based companies collaborate within the consortium, united by the common goal of enhancing the quality of tourism services in Trentino Alto-Adige. They offer their clients high-quality transport services, capable of meeting even the smallest requests and needs.
Today, the company provides all types of services to the Primiero valley, including public transport such as school buses, transportation for APSP (public social welfare institutions) for disabled and elderly people, services directly for hotels, shuttle services to local mountain refuges during the summer period, as well as urgent transport thanks to the service guaranteed 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
